Group of juveniles beat man who gave them food at East Towne Mall

MADISON, Wis. — A group of juveniles beat a man who gave them food at East Towne Mall Saturday evening, Madison police said.

The incident occurred at around 8:50 p.m. According to police, a man had just bought food when a group of seven juveniles approached him and said they were hungry.

The man gave the group his fries, but the group allegedly demanded that he give them all of his food and began threatening him. The man took out his phone to call police, but it was allegedly knocked out of his hand and broken.

Police said the group then beat the man, who suffered cuts to the face and other minor injuries. Three of the juveniles were arrested for their role in the beating and taken to the Juvenile Reception Center.

The names and ages of the juveniles was not released.
