One person taken to hospital after shooting at Pleasant Springs gas station

PLEASANT SPRINGS, Wis. — A person was shot multiple times at a gas station in the Town of Pleasant Springs Saturday afternoon, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office said.

The shooting was reported at around 4:47 p.m. at the BP gas station at 2763 County Highway N. Deputies found a person with multiple gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were performed and the person was taken to a local hospital.

Multiple shell casings were reportedly found at the scene.

Deputies and detectives were still working to identify a suspect as of Sunday afternoon. A DCSO spokesperson said there was no further threat to the public. Anyone who witnessed the shooting is asked to contact (608) 284-6900.
