Dear Editor: My daughter, Jasmine, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 3 months and epilepsy when she was 4 years old. Jasmine’s education started well because of her individualized education plan during her first year in half-day 3-K and 4-K. However, after much thought and discussion with her medical and educational teams, I knew she needed more time to strengthen emerging skills and requested she re-enroll in another year of 4-K, this time in a full-day program.
