Sun Prairie Police investigating shots fired incident

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — The Sun Prairie Police Department is investigating reports of gunfire Saturday night.

The Police Department said in a release Sunday that officers responded to multiple calls from residents just after 7 p.m. Saturday of shots fired near the intersection of Ernest Avenue and Gerald Avenue.

Police said officers found evidence consistent with gunfire. No injuries were reported, and there was no evidence of damage to nearby homes.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. The Sun Prairie Police Department is particularly interested in speaking with residents who may have surveillance footage from the area or anyone who noticed anything unusual around the time of the incident.
