MADISON, Wis. — Voters approved the Madison Metropolitan School District’s operational referendum on Tuesday.
The referendum asked for $100 million over four years to help MMSD keep pace with rising costs and fund staff and programming. That includes continuing investments in 4K and early learning as well as multilingual education.
MMSD estimated that the referendum would have a property tax impact of about $26 per month for the average home owner.
The district also asked voters to decide on a $507 facility referendum on Tuesday.
