DeForest man arrested for threatening fast food restaurant employees

MADISON, Wis. — A DeForest man was arrested last month after police said he threatened employees at a Madison fast food restaurant.

Police said that, on Oct. 29, a 23-year-old man approached a female employee at a restaurant on Collins Court then waited in the parking lot until she got off work. Another employee intervened, and the man allegedly chased them with a weapon.

The man left the area before officers arrived.

The next night, an employee at a nearby gas station saw the man and called police. The man was driving away when officers arrived, and he was arrested after what police called a high-risk traffic stop.

He was arrested for second-degree recklessly endangering safety and a probation hold.

News 3 Now is not naming the man at this time as part of a policy not to name people accused of crimes until they have been formally charged in court. Click here to learn more about the policy .
