Joann Pritchett says Madison needs to stop “impulse-buying”

Before her retirement, Joann Pritchett worked for decades in healthcare as an intensive care nurse and in higher education as the assistant dean and director of Multicultural Affairs at UW-Madison’s School of Pharmacy.

She also co-founded the African American Health Network and the Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness. Her honors include YWCA’s Women of Distinction Leadership Award and UW-Madison’s Outstanding Woman of Color Award.
