MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – As we head into the evening, light snow will continue to spread across southern Wisconsin, primarily in areas south and east of Madison. Southeastern spots will see slightly higher snowfall totals, around 1 to 2 inches. This will be enough to create slick conditions on untreated roads, especially during evening commutes and early morning trips to work or school.

Overnight, the snow will taper off, leaving Thursday morning chilly as northwest winds usher in a colder airmass. Highs will stay in the low 20s, with wind chills making it feel even colder, down into the minus single digits.
