WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The latest snow maker in Northern & Central Wisconsin produced some heavy snowfall amounts across the region from Highway 64 to north of Highway 10. Wausau set a new snowfall record for February 8th, picking up over 9 inches of snow. A cold Saturday night into Sunday morning. Sunshine returns on Sunday, but a First Alert to have the sunglasses, as the new snow on the ground will make it even brighter outside than usual. There is a chance of snow showers Monday evening, along with a risk of light snow Wednesday night. We are also closely monitoring a storm system that might once again bring snow our way from Valentine’s Day afternoon into next Saturday.
As we First Alerted you last Sunday, a sizable snowfall did take place in parts of North Central Wisconsin from Friday night into late Saturday afternoon. The highest totals were reported just east of Medford with over a foot of snow, while 9.7″ fell in Wausau. Many other spots from near Highway 64…..
