Monona PD: Man arrested after driving away from traffic stop in Monona

MONONA, Wis. — A Madison man was arrested after driving away from a traffic stop in Monona Saturday afternoon.

Monona Police Chief Brian Chaney said around 12:50 p.m. officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of an older model Jeep Grand Cherokee on W. Broadway near River PI.

The man reportedly refused to stop engaging Monona police in a vehicle pursuit. He drove onto Highway 12 and into the City of Fitchburg.
