MONONA, Wis. — A Madison man was arrested after driving away from a traffic stop in Monona Saturday afternoon.
Monona Police Chief Brian Chaney said around 12:50 p.m. officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of an older model Jeep Grand Cherokee on W. Broadway near River PI.
The man reportedly refused to stop engaging Monona police in a vehicle pursuit. He drove onto Highway 12 and into the City of Fitchburg. Various outside agencies assisted MOPD by preparing tire deflation devices into the vehicle’s path of travel. The man reportedly went back along Highway 12 into Monona…
