Dear Editor: It’s disappointing, no it’s disgusting, to see a statement made on behalf of our supposedly “progressive” mayor pointing fingers and demonizing Madison Metro drivers by claiming they “disrupted a vital service that so many other working Madisonians depend on.”
Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway is trying to employ the age old anti-union tactic of pitting one set of workers against others.
If a vital service has been disrupted, that is on management (i.e., Rhodes-Conway and other city leaders) who have the ability to resolve this contract negotiation. The mayor should take responsibility and be a leader rather than trying to divide people…
