MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A cleaning supply manufacturer was the site of a flooding incident on Saturday afternoon and has been cleared of all potential threats, according to an update from the Madison Fire Department.
Madison Fire officials previously reported its Haz Mat team responded to the facility in the 4200 block of Sycamore Avenue just after 3:30 p.m. to assess the potential risk, but noted that all hazards had been mitigated.
MFD crews found water coming from all sides of the building, and after entering the building with an air monitor, discovered the main water supply was damaged with no way to shut down the water flow. There was about a foot of water flooding the floor of the facility, as well as a number of various chemicals on pallets which had been exposed to the water…
