SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) – Sun Prairie is doubling down on cutting-edge traffic technology, announcing plans to expand its network of AI-powered traffic signals after seeing early success with the system.
The city first installed NoTraffic’s AI-powered radar and video fusion system in partnership with Traffic and Parking Control Co. (TAPCO). Since then, the technology has been operating at three intersections — two on State Highway 19, and one near a school with heavy pedestrian traffic. All three were identified as high-priority areas due to safety concerns and traffic volume.
