Sun Prairie man arrested for biting Madison police officer, operating while intoxicated

MADISON, Wis. — An officer is injured after responding to a scene where a suspect was allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated and bit the officer, the Madison Police Department said on Tuesday.

According to police, a tow truck driver reported to authorities that they had found a driver “slumped over a vehicle” while in traffic on Madison’s south side.

Police also said the car was first spotted in the West Dayton and North Park streets area at around 10:20 a.m. before driving away. It was then spotted in a parking lot on Brown Quail Court. The driver allegedly showed signs of intoxication when officers approached the car…
