Oregon manufacturer Trachte is entering a new chapter with a new name and brand. Effective May 15, Trachte LLC will officially become nVent TRACHTE, marking a new era following its acquisition by global electrical solutions company nVent in July 2024.
According to a company news release, founded in 1901 by the Trachte brothers in Madison, the company originally made steel products for the farming industry. In 1919, it expanded into steel garages, gas stations, restaurants and commercial buildings.
A major manufacturing facility opened in 1914 on Madison’s east side, where operations remained until moving to a 190,000-square-foot site in Oregon in 1983. The Braun Road location now runs two shifts and a weekend shift with approximately 150 employees…
