DANE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Recovery efforts for a boater who went missing on May 16 after a boat capsized on a lake in Wisconsin have been temporarily suspended due to poor weather conditions.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office reported that a sailboat, which capsized on Lake Monona around 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16, had four people on board. Madison Fire Rescue responded to Lake Monona shortly after 8 p.m. on May 16 for the report.

One person drifted to the shore on the overturned boat, while the other three hung on to a kayak. Two of three people who held on to the kayak were rescued, but the fourth person, who reportedly was not wearing a life jacket, is yet to be found.
The recovery efforts on Lake Monona have been suspended due to high winds and poor weather conditions overall; however, they will resume Wednesday or Thursday, should the weather be cooperative…
