Rain chances tick up

  • Cooler start to the week
  • Warm and sunny midweek
  • The week finishes warm, muggy and stormy

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – As we head into late Sunday morning, a cold front is on the move across southern Wisconsin. That front will bring a broken line of showers and storms from west to east between about 10 AM and 5 PM, with the highest coverage north of Madison but still a good chance for scattered storms further south. Most storms will be run-of-the-mill, but a stronger storm or two is possible, mainly in southern areas where the air will be a bit more unstable. Gusty winds are the main concern.

Once the front passes, skies may briefly clear this evening, though a few light rain showers could linger into the early nighttime hours before drying out overnight.
