It’s A Rookie Romp In ASA National Tour Run

MADISON, Wis. — Rookie Carson Brown can say, ‘I finally won on the ASA STARS Tour National Tour,” after winning on Friday night in the El Bandido Yankee Tequila Capital 250 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch 250 at Madison Int’l Speedway.

Brown, the New London, North Carolina, driver took the lead from Wisconsin wheelman Luke Fenhaus on lap 158 and he never looked back and scored his first win of the season in his rookie campaign. Brown had led four other races this season, including two others where he led the most laps.

As Brown came across the line, he was unchallenged by second-place finisher Cole Butcher who had a horrible night. The Porter’s Lake, Nova Scotia, driver rebounded and used attrition to climb back into the top five. Butcher maintained the point lead after a night where he was outside the top 10 in both stages…
