MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man convicted of striking and killing a woman who was walking on the Beltline in a hit-and-run crash last year saw his prison sentenced stayed Wednesday.
Online court records show Jules Tougna Tamen, 61, was sentenced to one year in prison and two years of extended supervision however that sentence was imposed and stayed. Instead, he had his license revoked for five years and was sentenced to two years of probation.
Tougna Tamen was found guilty in February of hit-and-run involving death stemming from a January 2024 crash along the Beltline near Fish Hatchery Road that killed 23-year-old Jaitaja Graham. Witnesses reportedly saw Graham walking in the middle lane of the highway before she was hit…
