A man was arrested for OWI, or operating while intoxicated, following a crash which involved a loose horse shortly before 4 a.m. on Monday, June 23. The owner of the horse will also receive a citation.
A traffic crash was reported near the intersection of State Highway 26 and County Highway A, in the township of Oak Grove. The driver of the car was 25-year-old Abimael Torres Avendano, of Fort Atkinson. She was arrested for OWI 1st offense and a criminal offense of operating without a valid driver’s license following the accident. The owner of the horse os 60-year-old Laura St John, of rural Juneau.
