Lori Lopez, the principal of Sandburg Elementary School, is looking forward to Madison’s $18.6 million Imagination Center in Reindahl Park, now under construction and expected to open in summer 2026.
When Lopez would leave school during the academic year, she noticed students and families were often lingering with no place to go.
“Our community wants to gather in other places,” she said. “The Imagination Center is going to give them that opportunity.”…
