MADISON, Wis. — A pair of fires that occurred on the playground at Lindbergh Elementary School are being investigated as arson, a Madison Fire Department spokesperson said Thursday.
The first fire occurred at around 5:30 p.m. at the school located at 4500 Kennedy Road on Madison’s north side. Smoldering woodchips were found, and there was evidence that a fire burned through the top of the slide. More smoldering woodchips were found inside the slide.
