Beloved special education teacher among victims in Middleton homicide

MIDDLETON, Wis. (WMTV) – As investigators continue to seek answers in a double homicide that has shaken the Dane County community, friends and colleagues are focusing on who the victims were—and the warmth they brought into everyone’s lives.

Teri and David Pabst, identified Wednesday, are being remembered not just as victims—but as kind, generous people who made a lasting mark on their community.

Teri was a special education teacher at Thoreau Elementary School in Madison, where she worked for three years. In a written statement, a former colleague Emily Hadden described her as someone who “was able to make a huge impact with every student she worked with.”…
