U.S. Cellular is continuing in its process to sell all wireless operations to T-Mobile.
After U.S. Cellular announced in March plans to end employment of about 4,100 employees, the company announced July 2 T-Mobile has offered employment to most of the U.S. Cellular employees at the same or similar wage rates and benefits.
In March, the United States Cellular Corporation announced in a letter to the Department of Workforce Development it planned “to sell all of its wireless operations, customers and about 30% of its licensed spectrum to T-Mobile US, Inc.,” laying off 4,100 employees working both in stores and remotely.
