MADISON, Wis. — It won’t be Paradise for area residents as several streets will close in preparation for the Coldplay concert at Camp Randall Stadium Saturday.
The City of Madison highlighted which streets will be impacted:
- N Randall Avenue- remains closed between Engineering Drive and W Dayton Street due to ongoing utility construction.
- N Breese Terrace
- Will be closed daily for concert setup
- Southbound traffic will be temporarily allowed between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. each weekday for the afternoon commute.
- Beginning 8 a.m. on Saturday, N Breese Terrace will be fully closed between Regent Street and University Avenue until 6 p.m. Monday, July 21.
- Monroe Street- Will be closed between Regent Street and Randall Avenue starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and will remain closed until approximately 3 a.m. on Sunday.
- Regent Street- Will be closed between Spooner Street and Randall Avenue for approximately one hour following each concert from 11 p.m. to midnight to ensure pedestrian safety.
- During these closures, Madison police will direct eastbound on Regent Street toward Park Street.
The city reported temporary on-street parking restrictions will be in place as a typical UW home football game, which includes Regent Street and Monroe Street for the concert exit traffic.
