Petition to recall DeForest trustee reaches needed signatures

DEFOREST, Wis. (WMTV) – The petition to remove an elected official from the Deforest Board of Trustees has reached the necessary number of signatures.

The group named Recall Bill Landgraf made the announcement on their Facebook page on the Fourth of July. Over 1,500 signatures were collected calling for Trustee Bill Landgraf’s removal.

DeForest resident Marc Storch started and filed the recall petition. He said the process was about holding Landgraf to be professional, ethical and mindful of what the community expects leaders to do.
