Fort Atkinson Resident Erik Bondehagen Found Safe After Disappearance from Harley-Davidson Event in Milwaukee

The community breathed a collective sigh of relief as the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office announced that Erik Karl Bondehagen, a 55-year-old Fort Atkinson man who went missing during the Harley-Davidson Homecoming event at Veterans Park, was found safe on Saturday. Bondehagen, who was last seen on Friday night around 10 p.m., had been attending the festival when he disappeared, prompting concerns from family and authorities due to a serious medical condition he has, and the medication he requires that he was without.

Details on Bondehagen’s disappearance, shared by the WISN report, emphasized the critical nature of finding him due to his medical needs. He was reported to have a buzz cut, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing 195 pounds. His attire at the time he went missing included a gray Harley-Davidson cutoff t-shirt, dark jeans, glasses, and a medical bracelet on his left wrist. Moreover, his black 2024 Harley-Davidson trike, bearing Wisconsin plates 959WR, was also missing, which was originally parked along the lakefront.

Although the circumstances of his safe return remain unreported, the reassurances given to those distressed by his absence do not lightly bear mentioning. According to a WTMJ update, Bondehagen is described as having brown eyes and hair, drawing slight contrast to earlier descriptions which detailed his physical appearance but not the color of his hair and eyes. Additional information from law enforcement confirmed that he was operating a black 2024 model of a Harley-Davidson trike with the license plate in question…
