After years without permanent leadership, the Dane County Department of Human Services has a new director to shepherd the county’s largest agency through millions of dollars in anticipated cuts and reduced services.
John Schlueter started at the end of June, taking over for interim director Astra Iheukumere, who had been running the $322 million agency since 2022.
