A story featured in the Wisconsin State Journal was removed and re-reported last week – after the paper’s staff discovered that their local government reporter had used artificial intelligence without authorization.
The original article, published as part of the Sunday issue on July 13, covered development plans for a vacant lot in downtown Madison. It was full of misinformation and outright fabrications.
