Governor Tony Evers Announces He Is Not Seeking A Third Term

(MADISON) Governor Tony Evers announces he will not seek a third term as governor. In a pre-recorded announcement that was posted to social media, Evers said that he wants to spend more time with family after 50 years spent in public service.

Evers was first elected as governor in November 2018, after defeating incumbent Governor Scott Walker. He won reelection in 2022, defeating businessman Tim Michels.
