Heat can’t stop the beat at AtwoodFest 2025

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Scorching temperatures didn’t stop thousands of people from filling Atwood Avenue this weekend for AtwoodFest 2025 — one of Madison’s most beloved neighborhood festivals.

With heat indexes nearing the hundreds, organizers added cooling tents and water stations to help festivalgoers stay safe. But most attendees said the sun was worth it to enjoy a full weekend of local music and community.

“It’s just perfect,” said Brett Witkowski, a Madison native visiting from Brazil. “I love Wisconsin and the summer in Wisconsin. I’m just excited to be here — just living the dream. Lovin’ life.”…
