MMSD expands drug prevention programs with new grant

MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Metropolitan School District was awarded a two-year grant from Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to expand its alcohol and drug abuse prevention programming.

The grant provides $50,000 for the 2025-26 school year, with an additional $50,000 renewal approved for 2026-27.

The funding, part of the DPI’s Alcohol and Drug Abuse program, will be used to hire a limited-term employee to deliver targeted prevention and intervention services across MMSD schools.
