Governor Andy Beshear met with other Democratic governors from across the country on Friday to discuss the challenges their states are facing due to the Trump Administration’s budget.
During the press conference held in Madison, Wisconsin, Beshear offered harsh words for lawmakers in Washington who voted in support of the reconciliation bill.
“The idea that we had so many congressmen and women, and senators vote for something that every single projection showed would cost jobs in their districts, would slow down the economy, and ultimately would cause people to lose healthcare. I mean, we’re supposed to be Americans first and Democrats and Republicans second.”…
