MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Fire Department was on scene at UW Health University Hospital for reports of smoke near an elevator shaft, a Madison Fire Department spokesperson confirmed to Channel3000.com.
Firefighters were dispatched right before 11 a.m. A UW Health spokesperson said there were report s of a burning smell near one of the elevators.
In a statement just after 2 p.m., UW Health said the hospital was given an all-clear. Mechanics were in the process of making sure elevators were working correctly…
