Dane County, Wisconsin Flood Watch: Multiple Rounds of Storms Could Bring Dangerous High Water

Madison, Wis. – A wide swath of southern and eastern Wisconsin will be under a Flood Watch from Saturday afternoon through Monday morning as multiple rounds of thunderstorms threaten to dump several inches of rain across the region. Low-lying roads and neighborhoods could see rapid water rises, making travel hazardous.

According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, the watch covers counties from Fond du Lac and Sheboygan south through Dane, Rock, Lafayette, and Jefferson. The greatest flood potential will come from repeated storms producing heavy downpours, with runoff likely to push rivers and creeks above their banks.
