Bond set at $1M for man charged in deadly shooting on Madison’s north side

MADISON, Wis. — A Dane County Court Commissioner set bond at $1 million Monday for a man accused in a deadly shooting that occurred last month on Madison’s north side.

Joshua Dean, 26, of Chicago is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Prosecutors allege he shot 30-year-old Lee Scott III in the 2100 block of Schlimgen Ave. on July 22. Scott later died at a hospital.

As a condition of his bond, Dean cannot have any contact with Scott’s family and cannot possess any dangerous weapons…
