MADISON, Wis. — Madison Community Development Authority (CDA) officials broke ground Wednesday on a redevelopment of the Triangle neighborhood, launching a multi-phase effort to replace aging public housing with new, affordable homes.
The Triangle, the project, will rebuild outdated townhouses and apartment buildings and is expected to ultimately house about 355 residents. The Triangle is bounded by Regent St., W. Washington Ave. and Park St.
According to the city, current residents living in CDA housing on the Triangle will not lose their homes during construction. They will be able to remain in place until their new units are ready, then relocate directly into them…
