Madison police share photo of suspect in campus-area break-ins

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police on Friday shared a photo of a suspect in a pair of break-ins that occurred at a business near the UW campus area earlier this year.

The first break-in reportedly occurred on March 25. Police said a person threw a rock through a window of a business in the 200 block of North Frances Street, then broke a latch to get into the building.

The next morning, police were called to the same business after a cleaning crew arrived to find the suspect still at the scene. The suspect left before officers arrived. About $1,000 in damage was done during the break-in and items were stolen…
