MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Madison officials are warning pedestrians to avoid the Capital Springs State Trail near Madison Metropolitain Sewerage District’s Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant in South Madison as emergency repairs are being made after a sewer overflowed.
According to a release on Friday, the district is working to address a sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) that is on the plant property and adjacent to the trail.
