Cooler Temperatures on the Horizon

  • Areas of patchy fog this morning
  • Isolated showers/storms late tonight
  • Highs in the upper 60s this weekend, low humidity

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – We start things off today with cloudy skies and patchy fog primarily in areas west and south of Madison. This fog will burn off shortly after sunrise and we should also see some clearance of the clouds as well. Southwesterly winds are expected today ahead of a cold front, with temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s in some areas. As the cold front gradually moves southeast, we will be seeing increasing cloud cover as it gets closer.

This front should move through southern Wisconsin tonight and into Saturday morning and will bring chances for rain and isolated storms along with it. Any rainfall we do receive will be very scattered in nature, so not everyone will get wet. Models are indicating pretty weak instability, so severe weather is not a concern. Expect a few…..
