MADISON, Wis. — Two new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) SaveStations have been installed in downtown Madison to make getting to an AED more accessible.

- Anyone can access the new SaveStations, located on Library Mall and at James Madison Park, 24 hours a day all year round
- Leaders said the new stations are strategically placed in high-traffic areas, where it’s optimal for availability
Leaders with Cardiac on Campus, a student-run organization at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the Madison Fire Department and the City of Madison gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the two AEDs on Tuesday.
“Thank you to Cardiac on Campus for making Madison and the UW campus safer,” said Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway. “What we’re celebrating today is a great example of partners working together to better our community.”
