Madison police use Taser, pepper spray to arrest man who barricaded himself in park bathroom

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police used a Taser and pepper spray to take a man into custody who they said barricaded himself in a bathroom stall at a park Thursday night.

Officers were called to McPike Park at around 10:30 p.m. after park rangers found the 44-year-old man. Attempts to remove him were unsuccessful and he reportedly became aggressive towards officers.

A Taser was used, but the man did not surrender. Police said he kept swinging at officers and threatened them as they tried to arrest him…
