Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell said in his Tuesday press conference that his team is not looking ahead to Alabama. They are focused on Middle Tennessee this coming Saturday. That’s not true for Barry Alvarez or Wisconsin fans. Alvarez is excited about it enough to come out and say that the Badgers will be the favorites against the Crimson Tide.
Alvarez isn’t the only one; Wisconsin fans are starting to circle that game. A two-win (last season) Florida State team just toppled the Crimson Tide, giving some hope to Badger fans that maybe, just maybe, the game could be close and even some with the audacity to see it as winnable.

He was on his weekly ESPN Madison “The Barry Alvarez Show,” and he said the line that will knock you over and make you go, “Are you serious?” He said, “I would guess that right now, we’ll [Wisconsin] will be the favorites going into that game [vs. Alabama].” Wow…
