Congratulations to Honey Barrel for being voted the winner of Madison Old Fashioned Week 2025!
With nearly 550 votes cast, the race to crown Madison’s best old fashioned was fiercer than ever before. Ultimately, the Smoked Cherry Chocolate Old Fashioned from Honey Barrel (a first-time participant) took home the win with 182 votes. The Cherrywood Smoked Old Fashioned from Northside Lounge (last year’s winner) earned second place with 129 votes, and OF Bananza! from Cordial took third with 59 votes.
The winning old fashioned stood out from the 19 other participants with its spin on the classic cocktail. Made with Fabbri cherry syrup, Trader Vic’s Chocolate Liqueur, Cherry Bark Vanilla bitters from Bittercube, 1792 Bourbon, garnished with two Fabbri cherries and then smoked with cherrywood chips, the finished drink is decadent, rich and balanced…
