MADISON, Wis. — Several roads around the Madison area will be closed this weekend due to the Ironman Triathlon.
The race will begin at 7 a.m. on both days with Ironman 70.3 finishing by 4:30 p.m. and the full Ironman finishing by midnight. The triathlon consists of swimming in Lake Monona, bicycling in Dane County, and running in the downtown, campus area.
Police will maintain local access across the route only when possible, during gaps in the runners, bicyclists along the race route. Thru-traffic driving across the route will not be permitted…
