1. ‘It has been overwhelming in a positive way’: Family of Wisconsin sextortion victim testifies in support of ‘Bradyn’s Law’
This week, the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety heard testimony on “Bradyn’s Law,” which would make sextortion a standalone crime in Wisconsin. The legislation is named for 15-year-old Bradyn Bohn from Kronenwetter, who died by suicide in March after falling victim to sextortion. In June, the Wisconsin Assembly unanimously passed the bill, but it still needs approval from the Senate, which is expected to meet in October.
