Madison fire crews respond after electrical issue at downtown coffee shop

MADISON, Wis. — Madison Fire Department crews responded to a downtown coffee shop Thursday afternoon after an electrical issue caused a small fire.

Firefighters were called to Bradbury’s Coffee, located at 127 North Hamilton Street, at around 1:30 p.m. Staff at the shop reported hearing popping sounds from behind and underneath a dishwasher.

A fire extinguisher was used and the electrical circuit breaker was shut off before firefighters arrived. When crews got to the scene, there was no immediate signs of fire and no alarms sounding…
