Wisconsin quarterback Danny O’Neil set a program record with his performance in the Badgers’ win over Middle Tennessee on Saturday.
The San Diego State transfer finished the contest with 283 yards, three touchdowns and one interception on 23-of-27 passing. Much of that production came on key explosive plays in the second half, including a 58-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jayden Ballard. The quarterback’s play, especially after the halftime break, was key to Wisconsin reversing first-half struggles and registering a 32-point triumph.
