Dear Editor: I want to thank the Dane County Board of Supervisors for taking seriously the concerns about Ridglan Farms and for working to find ways our county can help protect animals. Their willingness to act quickly on this issue shows true leadership.
Recently, two supervisors visited Ridglan Farms. Afterward, Rick Rose described the conditions as horrific while Dave Boetcher compared Ridglan Farms to the Dane County Humane Society.
This comparison is an insult to the Dane County Humane Society, a community-supported shelter where animals receive enrichment, veterinary care, and — most importantly — the chance to be adopted into loving homes. The mission of the Humane Society is to uplift and protect animals, not confine them…
