Dane Co. deputies arrest 2 after chase ends in marsh, squad car struck

MONONA, Wis. — Dane County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people who they said tried to run from law enforcement Monday night.

A deputy reportedly tried to pull over a Honda Accord on the westbound Beltline near South Stoughton Road  at around 11:30 p.m. According to the sheriff’s office, the license plate on the Accord came back as being registered to a Chevrolet Cobalt, and the registered driver did not have a valid license.

The driver of the Accord reportedly sped up instead of pulling over, and a chase ensued…
